It was another good morning at Fort Mason, with the highlight being an adult male AMERICAN REDSTART that was seen well by a number of observers. Other warblers included two COMMON YELLOWTHROATS in the Battery, a number of WILSON'S WARBLERS in the Battery and above Aquatic Park, a BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER along the steps down to Aquatic Park, an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER along the steps, and several YELLOW WARBLERS. Flycatchers, in the Battery and below, included a WESTERN WOOD PEWEE, at least one PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER and a WILLOW FLYCATCHER. A WARBLING VIREO was in the Battery, and a BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK was along the steps. I had to leave at 10:30, so the many birders still at Fort Mason may report other sightings.
