Subject: [Ohio-birds] Meadowbrook Marsh Ottawa County 8/25 warblers-migrants
I have been looking and looking for warblers and finally found a few since relocating from the Cleveland area the end of July.  Today I was at Meadowbrook Marsh in Danbury Twp in Ottawa County from 12:15 to 2:05pm.  Initially I wasn't finding anything interesting until I started back to the car and the small woods just before the parking lot between multiple asphalt paths there was suddenly lots of activity after 1pm (more activity than I have seen so far this August) There were two Black-and-White Warblers, two Chestnut-sided Warblers and one Blackburnian (1st fall female).  I probably missed some others.  Also three Red-eyed Vireos, few Warbling Vireos, one Great Crested Flycatcher, one E. Phoebe, one Empid Flycatcher, Pewees, and many Gnatcatchers, Indigo Buntings, and House Wrens & one Ruby-throated Hummingbird.
Wednesday, August 23rd very late in the day around 7:15pm I was at Dempsey Fishing Access on the south side of the Marblehead Pennisula along Sandusky Bay and had two Yellow-rumped Warblers in some trees that had many Cedar Waxwings just east of the boat launch area.  Those two warblers have not been approved yet on eBird.  On 8/18 I saw approx 55 Cedar Waxwings and on 8/22 there were approx 90 at Dempsey.  Today they were feeding in the trees so it was harder to count.  Many times they are sitting in the dead trees closer to the entrance and are easier to see.
