Comments: Scanned sod fields from roads (300N, 350W, 400N). The most extensive trimmed grassland was on north side of 300N and adjacent 350W. Most Killdeer and all 4 Buff-breasted Sandpipers were there. Weather: thunderstorms last night and this morning; heavy clouds, intermittent light rain.

Buff-breasted Sandpiper 4 foraging actively on large trimmed short grass field (running, stopping, running). Took flight readily when I got out of car; kept a distance in field of at least 75 meters.
