Date: 8/5/17 3:50 pm From: Matthew Valenic <mmvalencic...> Subject: [Ohio-birds] Laughing Gull - Geauga County - LaDue Reservoir
Kudo's to the Kent State University Bird Club for finding a Laughing Gull at LaDue Reservoir today and sharing the information with us local birders. See eBird for pictures. Also, over 20 Caspian Terns and lots of gulls. Peeps and Sandpipers along the shorelines in the mud.
I know I shouldn't have to say this, but just a reminder that the reservoir water level is down and significant shoreline exposed with mud and gravel. Please view and photograph these birds from Valley Road. When people walk out on the shoreline to get better pictures the birds get spooked and leave and no one else can enjoy them or get them on their life list. Let's practice being generous birders and photographers.
