Subject: [obol] Smith & Bybee Lakes shorebirds (Portland)
My mom and I were pleased to find modest numbers of shorebirds at Smith
Bybee this morning, many of which were right at the canoe launch and the
remainder of which were on Bybee Lake in front of the blind.

Killdeer - 50
Least Sandpiper - 60 (more than half ad.)
Western Sandpiper - 50 (mostly juv.)
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 5 (juvs.; photos on eBird)
Short-billed Dowitcher - 2
Long-billed Dowitcher - 176
Wilson's Snipe - 4
Red-necked Phalarope - 1 juv.
Greater Yellowlegs - 16
Lesser Yellowlegs - 2

As always, should be a good spot to check the next few months. Plenty of
egrets and pelicans..still waiting for a Wood Stork :)

Cheers,
Adrian
