Subject: [obol] Fern Ridge Fisher Unit - Baird's, Semi-sands
Hello All,

Barry McKenzie and I made a loop through the Fisher Unit late this afternoon. There is still some mud in the Center Pond attracting shorebirds Southeast of the observation platform. Barn Pond to the South also has some good mud. Redhead Pond is being flooded. The submerged vegetation is attracting hundreds of ducks and geese. Highlights were:

White-fronted Goose - 1 juvenile
Semipalmated Plover - 16
Killdeer - 40
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER - 1 juvenile
Least Sandpiper - 75
Western Sandpiper - 50
Long-billed Dowitcher - 30
Wilson's Phalarope - 1 juvenile
Wilson's Snipe - 2
Spotted Sandpiper - 3
Greater Yellowlegs - 14

A couple photos are attached to the eBird report.

Good Birding,

John Sullivan
