I made a brief stop at the west end of Eagle Marsh, mainly to see if there was shorebird habitat. There was some, but found no shorebirds (other than a single Killdeer). A nice surprise was three Caspian Terns, not unprecedented, bur uncommon here.
Mallard 15 Great Blue Heron 3 Great Egret 9 Green Heron 2 Killdeer 1 Caspian Tern 3 Gull-sized tern; red-orange bill, black cap, long pointed wings; flying over water. Found at this location in July on five previous years in the past 12. American Robin 1 European Starling 8 Common Yellowthroat 3 Song Sparrow 2 Eastern Towhee 2 Red-winged Blackbird 2 American Goldfinch 2
