I just came in (4:55 Sat) from a visit to Philomath treatment ponds and have a puzzle of a shorebird. The best I can match it to is a Temmick's stint. Slightly larger than the least sandpiper whitish face, very uniform- colored back and wing feathers, a longish body and hefty slightly curved bill. And of course non-black legs.
It was in the middle pond by itself on the algal mat that fills the SE corner. Very near the structures on the dike. At one point a least joined it and it was a very instructive comparison.
