Subject: [MBBIRDS] Red-necked Phalaropes at New Brighton SB

Hi All,

There was a pair of RED-NECKED PHALAROPES on New Brighton
State Beach this afternoon, about a hundred yards up the
beach from the restrooms, if one were walking towards
Seacliff SB. They were sometimes sitting on the water a
dozen feet from shore, and sometimes coming onto the beach
to pick at inverts around the piles of kelp.

There were also good numbers of both ELEGANT and CASPIAN
TERNS, and other expected birds.

Jim
