Yesterday, in the sycamores (or are they plane trees?)downstream from and next to the Homestead Grays Bridge, Susie spotted:
Eastern KingbirdYellow Warbler
And I saw them, too, after considerable effort. The kingbird is the first I've seen that close to the City of Pittsburgh.
Today, at Frick Park, we saw a bird an infamous local birder (a different one, not me 😈) dubbed the indigunk -- an immature male Indigo Bunting, all blotchy, blue and brown.
