The burrowing owl was at its burrow this afternoon (6/27/17) at Coyote Ridge Nature Area. Still no sign of any young, but then I was there at 3:30 and I wouldn’t expect the young to be out in mid-afternoon. However, I did see two golden eagle young in the golden eagle nest on the north end of the cliffs on the east side of Watson Lake, near Bellvue in Larimer Co. One of them was stretching its wings, so they may fledge soon.
Good birding!
