Yesterday morning around 8:30 there were 3 Upland Sandpipers on the utility wires along route 285 before Wilson Road (approaching from the east). Bobolinks, Meadowlarks and Savannah Sparrows were abundant along 285 and Wilson Rd. A Dickcissel was heard only about half way down Wilson. Passing through again around 11:00 one sandpiper was still on the wire.
A Common Moorhen/Gallinule (whatever they call them at this point in time?) was near the road at Custards. A hike down Shafer Rd had a nice variety of expected songbirds. A highlight was hearing a Veery.
Sorry for the late post. Too tire/lazy last night.
