Subject: [PIBirds] Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Plum Is 5/19
Paul Roberts called to report seeing a SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER, or possibly a FORK-TAILED FLYCATCHER, at 9:35am this morning flying north up the beach at Lot 1 on Plum Island. The bird made a direct flight by, and was against the sunlight, so Paul could not see contrast to rule out Fork-tailed Flycatcher. The tail was extremely long, so this was an adult bird.
Other birders are checking the north end of Plum Island now.

Birders in Salisbury or along the coast of New Hampshire should keep an eye out for this bird.
