At sundown last evening, two scissortailed flycatchers SITTING in the center of the soccer field occasionally snagging some tidbit from the grass. Guess they were grounded due to weather.

At 1 pm today they were back in flight over the field.
Bluebirds really working on nest building across from the dog park on the south side.
Pelicans afloat on the risen river esp near the outflow from the dam. Maybe disoriented fish are an easier target or is it just more fun to ride the swells?
One lone cedar waxwing continuing to gorge on green mulberries under the disgruntled eye of the guardian mockingbird. Yet the bush whose berries have a blush to them is untouched. ???
