Subject: In our Shady Oaks yard, 4/20/17 Four new arrivals
Another busy day here with four FOY birds: a Broad-winged Hawk whistling and flying over at 8:02 am, Warbling Vireo heard several times late this morning, Ruby-throated Hummingbird at 10:39 am and a Palm Warbler at 3:20 pm.

There were also several Indigo Buntings, one at the Bubbler, Rose-breasted Grosbeak heard, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Hermit Thrush, several Swainson's Thrushes, Yellow-rumped, Nashville and Tennessee Warblers. Still have a few White-throated Sparrows around.

There has been a female Monarch here every day since Saturday laying eggs on Marsh Milkweed. We did not get a drop of rain here and it really would be welcome.
