Subject: [VTBIRD] Emerald Lake Kinglets and Warblers
When expectations are lowest, sometimes the birding is extraordinary.  This morning at Emerald Lake along the entrance walking path to the Lake there was a fall out of Ruby Crowned Kinglets and Yellow-rumped WArblers. The air was filled with song of the Kinglets, everywhere.  And not be out done, the Yellow-rumps joined in with song. The Yellow-rumps were more visible, feeding in the hardwood trees that have just budded out.  The Kinglets were so high up in the Hemlocks, they were hard to see.  But, the singing was everywhere in the canopy.  In other locations near the parking area I did have good visuals on 3 Golden-crowned Kinglets.  Mixed in all of this activity were three Palm Warblers (EAstern).  Checklist below:
