Subject: Cattle Egrets in Mont. Co
Might be of interest to MD Birding.. not a common bird in this part of Maryland. Might be a county bird for some.
Just got a report of 14-15 Cattle Egrets feeding with the horses at Waredaca Farms west of Sunshine in upper Montgomery Co. They just arrived in the last half hour (~ 2PM Monday). Public is welcome to drive into the farm, just not go running around the pastures with the horses, etc. There are several large pastures in this complex, may have to look around. (This is the same farm where the three Ross's Geese were in middle of last December.)
Waredaca Farms is on north side of rt. 650 about 2 miles west of rt. 97 (Georgia Ave.) or about 4 miles east of where 650 and 108 meet in little crossroads place called Etchison.
