Subject: [IN-BIRD-L] Eagle Marsh Black-necked Stilts
After missing them on Friday night, Ed and I stopped by shortly after noon. The stilts are very far back in the largest pool visible from the Boy Scout parking lot. A scope is very necessary. We walked back to the first tower and took the side trail on the west side of that pond, walking clear back to a little cedar tree. At first we saw about 10, but then they took off, flew in a circle, and landed back a little closer to us. We both counted 17!
After getting home I found my FOS tick.
