Hi All, The Tumbling Run area made for a nice walk this Easter morning, with seven warbler species.

Mallard 1 Ruffed Grouse 3 3 males drummed Osprey 1 Broad-winged Hawk 1 Mourning Dove 2 Red-bellied Woodpecker 2 Downy Woodpecker 3 Hairy Woodpecker 3 Northern Flicker (Yellow-shafted) 10 Pileated Woodpecker 3 Eastern Phoebe 2 pair Blue-headed Vireo 3 3 males singing. Good habitat with patches of hemlocks Blue Jay 6 American Crow 2 Tree Swallow 1 Black-capped Chickadee 6 Tufted Titmouse 8 White-breasted Nuthatch (Eastern) 2 Winter Wren 1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 5 Ruby-crowned Kinglet 21 Good woodland habitat with fair amount of conifers Hermit Thrush 2 American Robin 7 Louisiana Waterthrush 2 2 males singing. One at footbridge. A second along north side of lower reservoir. Black-and-white Warbler 2 Two males seen well. Both birds sang diagnostic spring song. This species breeds at site. Northern Parula 1 Multiple times, did diagnostic spring song. Appeared to be moving with group of YRWA's & Palm Warbs. Very familiar with song. This species breeds at site. Palm Warbler (Yellow) 4 Pine Warbler 1 Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle) 9 Black-throated Green Warbler 1 Male sang from hemlock area. I am very familiar with song. Species breeds at this site. Field Sparrow 5 Dark-eyed Junco (Slate-colored) 8 White-throated Sparrow 1 Eastern Towhee 9 Northern Cardinal 6 Red-winged Blackbird 1 Common Grackle 2 Brown-headed Cowbird 8 Purple Finch 4 sang, two-note calling, and tic calling Pine Siskin 1 American Goldfinch 10
