Subject: [IN-BIRD-L] Pulaski County Birding
Today Jon Chapman and I birded the area from Winamac in to and around
Tippecanoe River State Park and Winamac FWA, from 7:45 AM to 1:15 PM.
We identified 62 species. This included 7 sparrows: Chipping, Song,
White-crowned, White-throated, Grasshopper, Field and Savannah. We
counted at least 23 Eastern Towhees. Other birds of note:
Northern Bobwhite
Wild Turkeys (6)
Woodcock.
Tree, Northern Rough-winged and Barn Swallows
Pileated Woodpecker
Belted Kingfisher
Bald Eagle (2)
Purple Martin
Purple Finch
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
Yellow-throated Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Yellow-rumped Warblers (10)
American Kestrel
Horned Lark
Eastern Meadowlark (7)
Brown Thrasher
Red-shouldered Hawk
Brown Creeper
