Subject: [CT Birds] Warblers, Eagles, and others - Nepaug Reservoir in Burlington
Today on Clearbrook Road on the southern shore of Nepaug Reservoir

Clouds of Warblers:
Pine
Palm
Yellow Rumped
Norther Waterthrush

Also many:
Towhees
Ruby Kinglets
Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers feeding on tent caterpillar nests
White-Breasted Nuthatches
Chipping Sparrows
Goldfinches
Sapsuckers
Chickadees in nest holes
Pileated Woodpeckers
And a
Brown Creeper
Winter Wren
Pair of Bald Eagles on their nest across the water
Botanically speaking
Red Maples are in full bloom
Sweetfern male flowers are open
Trailing Arbutus is blooming

and a Mourning cloak was flying about.
