My brother lives in ASHVILLE on Lower Grassy Road and is fortunate to have a pair of red[shouldered hawks at his house. The male has been hanging around his house for a few weeks. This morning the male came to the birdbath and hung around for about 15 minutes. Then he foraged in the English ivy which is cut low. It finally flew away and shortly returned with a mate. They flew around in some apparent mating rituals. How great is that? Especially within 20 feet or so of his sun porch and all under huge trees in his yard.
