Weather:
Snow and strong NNW winds early delayed the start.Temperature went from 1
to 2 degrees Celsius. The snow subsided but the strong winds continued.
Also, there was 100% cloud cover for the duration.

Raptor Observations:
One Merlin zoomed through, low and fast, in the back of the cemetery site.
Very little else to report. Four TVs took what seemed like forever to make
there way through but eventually did; at times they were flying in reverse.
One local Red-tail spent at least 10 minutes hovering in place without
flapping and very little forward movement. I'm not sure if it was hunting
or just enjoying the ability to hover due to the strong wind.

Non-raptor Observations:
Three pairs of Common Merganser were on the pond in back. A single Common
Loon flew over the primary site heading directly west to the lake.
Surprisingly, there were many low flying blackbirds, grackles and robins
heading north against a severe cross wind.
