Subject: Foy birds in Lancaster County
I went for the Vesper Sparrows on Wissler Road, and I was rewarded with two singing males. I then went to Middle Creek WMA, and had a pair of Blue-winged Teals fly over the pond at stop 1. There were two shorebirds at the pond just before the lane to Willow Point Trail. I didn't have my scope, but I think they were a Lesser Yellowlegs and a Pectoral Sandpipers. After church, I stopped at the Night-heron Rookery. They're back. I counted 7. The Yellow-crowned is back as well.
