Visitors: Some hardy hawkwatchers and Mike Tetlow, like the calvary,arrived at the end of the heavy rain and the beginning of a downpour of birds.
Weather: Moderate to strong SSW til 1200EST, very strong SW and W winds until 1700. Intermittent rain into the 1200 hour and hard rain from 1030 to 1130. Low 52, high 60,overcast most of day.
Raptor Observations: Vultures and raptors were picking up in front of the rain and started to come in big numbers at the back end of the heavy rain.
Non-raptor Observations: Very large Tree Swallow movement before the heavy rain. Robins and blackbirds moving in good numbers. 1 Breeding plumage Bonaparte's Gull.
