Subject: Golden-winged and Swainson's Warblers
In response to the post by Tom Hardy. Mid April should be good for
Swainson's Warblers, my records show sightings from mid April exceptionally
early on 4/4.
Saluda Watershed on the SC side is good as well as the SC/NC border on Mine
Mountain Rd. You need to know the song and you have a good chance of
seeing one. Green River gamelands and Green River Cove Rd are good.
Another good place is Pearson Falls Rd in NC.
This seems a little early for Golden-winged, Max Patch Rd is a good spot.
Again you need to start with learning the song.
