Subject: Eastern Kingbird
I watched an Eastern Kingbird sally from lakeside treetop and return at Cane Creek Park lake around noon today. The white tail band was distinctly visible, as was the white belly and all dark back and head. As I maneuvered the kayak to get a photo (unsuccessfully), the bird departed and the tail band, white belly, and dark underwing were obvious. This is the earliest I've seen, by several weeks!
