Subject: [ia-bird] American Pipits, Johnson Co.
Farther south on Wapello (between 660th and 680th -- see Smith's Longspurs post for directions) -- there is a small flock of AMERICAN PIPITS on east side of road in bare field. These are farther out from road than the longspurs were, and the heat distortion makes finding them very difficult. Luckily I saw them in flight and landing.

Also have seen a couple of VESPER SPARROWS and a mixed flick of blackbirds that included RUSTY along Wapello.
