Subject: [ia-bird] Smith's Longspurs, east of Lone Tree
There is a small flock of ~50 SMITH'S LONGSPURS just south of the intersection of Highway 22 and Wapello in Johnson County. This is east of Lone Tree.

A few are starting to tradition to breeding plumage, but not quite there yet. Scope helpful to find them in the corn stubble on the west side, although they have also been flying across the road and can be seen that way with binocs.

They just flew to the east side of the road in a group and are now in the bare field on the east side.
