Subject: [GABO-L] Huie Ponds, Clayton Co.
Hello,
The winter plumage American Golden Plover was seen throughout the morning
at Huie on the south pond, mostly along the southern edge between grass and
mud, and then in the southwest corner. The bird is well camouflaged against
the lighter shades of mud, so some searching is called for.

There were also 4 Western Sandpipers in the northeast pond. Other birds of
interest included Tree Swallows everywhere, one Barn swallow, lots of
Northern Shovelers, and a typical assortment of other ducks, cormorants,
bluebirds, and others.
