Subject: [ia-bird] Big Marsh - Butler Co.
Today I walked the big loop on the dikes from the south boat ramp at Big Marsh. It is a good two hour walk. Some highlights:

Rusty Blackbirds - 3
A Pectoral Sandpiper - with killdeer and behaving like a killdeer
Wilson’s snipe
Trumpeter swans - 10
Am. Pipits - 5 + 4 = 9
Harrier hawk - gray ghost male with prey
A mink
Many diving ducks
Still quite a few snow and speckle bellied geese

Tom Schilke - Waterloo
