Subject: [ia-bird] Goose Lake in Johnson County
Stopped by Goose Lake this morning and there were a good variety of
waterfowl present. Only a little ice, mostly open water and it was fun
watching all the diving ducks popping up, as well as the dabblers. Also,
lots of Grackles present along the tops of the condos and in the bushes
there along the road where they like to nest. Some of the ducks were
sleeping and far off, so it was hard to tell what they were (looked like
Canvasbacks). ~ Fawn in Washington County
