Comments: Weekly bird species census for the NWR. Access was limited
due to icy conditions after the storm Tuesday. 19 F with some wind. Only
about 1/5 of the Lower Impoundment had open (unfrozen) water and just a
small sliver of the Upper Impoundment. Will and I walked to mid-dike (Will
with the scope) and Joan and Frank walked to the river. Observers: Will
Martens, Frank Richichi, Joan Stoner, Andy Scholten, Kathy Dia.
