Subject: [ia-bird] Winter Wren in Cedar Rapids

Birders, Bever Park in S.E. Cedar Rapids is a reliable hot spot in April for a particular cadre of migrants (Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Winter Wren, both Kinglets, Hermit Thrush).Today, on a non-structured stroll along the plowed circular drive, withno particular goal in mind other than fresh air, I saw a Winter Wren across from the children's petting zoo. The bird stood out against the white backdrop of 5" of new fallen snow.
