Subject: [obol] Another(?) Tufted Duck in Benton County
This just in came through the wires. It refers to a "continuing bird" so
I wondered if it was the Tufted Duck that has been widely reported from
Ankeny NWR.

However the map points to a point along Wonderly Lane which connects
between Bellfountain Rd. and Fern Rd. south of Philomath, to the south
of Evergreen Creek. So I'm wondering if this could be the Tufted Duck
that turned up briefly at the Stoneybrook retirement villae pond in SW
Corvallis last month (reported some time after the fact, but which was
apparently an adult male).

It sounds like this might be in the Evergreen Mitigation Bank, which is
a private property but partly viewable from Bellfountain Rd. (for
directions and further info see Site A10 on the Alsea Loop of the
Willamette Valley Birding Trail).

Good birding,
