Thanks to Juliana's timely post, I was able to see 2 Wilson's Snipes this evening (March 11) at the pond in Coast Casey Forebay visible from the dirt trail along Terminal Blvd. Also in that pond was the continuing Eurasian Green-winged Teal.
In the small pond to the west of the pump house, there was a Common Gallinule.
Flying around the pump house were over 25 swallows. Most were Cliff Swallows, some were Barn Swallows, and there were also at least one each of Tree Swallow, Violet-green Swallow, and Northern Rough-winged Swallow. The Cliff Swallows and Barn Swallows are new arrivals for today. They were not there yesterday.
Yesterday's highlights at Shoreline Lake were 4 Great-tailed Grackles on the pier in the northwest corner and the continuing male Hooded Merganser near the island. The Hooded Merganser was not there today, so maybe it is the same male that Juliana saw on Permanente Creek.
