This was a very productive morning at Swan Creek, but activity quickly subsided once the winds picked up. Highlights:

45 Green-winged Teal

2 Wood Ducks
2 Hooded Mergansers
1 SORA - very early
3 Virginia Rails
1 Osprey
1 Northern Rough-winged Swallow - early-ish
1 Marsh Wren
2 Rusty Blackbirds

1 Eastern Phoebe
1 Common Raven

Restricted areas
1 Red-breasted Nuthatch

Large numbers of Ruddy Ducks continue offshore as well.

*** NOTE: Swan Creek/Cox Creek is an active industrial site and mitigation project in northern Anne Arundel Co. Access is at the end of Kembo Road off Fort Smallwood Road near 695. The site is open ONLY Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please be in your car and leaving at 3:30 p.m..
