Subject: IBET American White Pelicans-Widewaters
Hi all, there is a pile of at least 100 pelicans that are fun to watch at the Widewaters in Will County right now. They are mostly resting on a duck-blind island which is conveniently across the road from the small pond/garbage can/gravel pull-off. I spoke with a lady who checks the area daily for swans and pelicans, and she said they weren't here yesterday-hopefully they will stick around a bit. There is still a raft of Canvasbacks nearby, and many Gadwall, Shovelers, some L. Scaup, and changing numbers and species of other ducks.
