Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird report. This report
was made Thursday March 9. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

The Siletz Bay BROWN THRASHER and the Redmond WHITE-WINGED DIVE continue to
be seen. The dull plumaged TUFTED DUCK at the Pintail Marsh at Ankeny NWR
also continues. On March 6 a SMEW was reported on McFadden Marsh at Finley
NWR.

Single WESTERN KINGBIRDS were reported March 3 at Wireless Road in Astoria
and near Bend. The RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD movement has arrived in the Grants
Pass area.

The EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL is still being seen along North Bayview Road
at Alsea Bay. Up to 10 LONG-TAILED DUCKS are now at Yaquina Bay. The Newport
wintering MOCKINGBIRD remains. On March 4 a SAY'S PHOEBE was at the Koll
Wetlands in Beaverton. A SNOWY EGRET was reported March 8 near the Stone
Creek Golf Course near Beavercreek. The Corvallis RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER
continues. On March 5 a CLIFF SWALLOW was near Grants Pass. A LONG-TAILED
DUCK was seen March 7 on Lost Creek Reservoir on the Rogue River in Jackson
County.
