Subject: [GeneseeBirds-L] Braddock's Purple Martin
The highlight of hiding behind the platform at Braddock Bay this afternoon was a single male Purple Martin riding the 60 mph gusts. Seen at a distance by me then picked up close by Pat Martin. Ruled out Starling, Tree Swallow and small distant falcon by the fact that it was a Purple Martin. Sorry no photo to prove it as is required these days. Some nice low Bald Eagles and a close Merlin were awesome to watch in their battle with the wind. Mike Tetlow
