Subject: Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira
Sam and I birded around Cheyenne Bottoms last evening and then spent awhile
this morning at Quivira. Some birds of note:

Cheyenne Bottoms
2 drake Cinnamon Teal across the main loop road from the bathroom
5 Prairie Falcons within a mile on the Nature Conservancy property
500 or so Sandhill Cranes just south of Redwing
Eastern Screech Owl at the wilderness camping area west of the CB
Headquarters

Quivira
300 or so Sandhill Cranes south of the Headquarters
15 Tundra Swans at the west intersection of the Wildlife Loop and 170th
Virginia Rail west of Wildlife Loop on 170th

Also saw a Prairie Falcon just west of the McPherson Wetlands on the drive
home.
