Subject: [CT Birds] CACC
3/8 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center 10am-1PM, high tide
receding, 50-55F.
The center was very busy with visitors today. Everyone is asking when our
ospreys will return. Generally they appear around mid-March, the male
arriving first.
On the marsh: 37 Green winged teal, 9 Mute Swans, 16 Canada Geese, 12
American Wigeons, 3 Red breasted mergansers, 21 American Black ducks,Ring
billed & herring gulls.
On the grounds, 32 Common Grackles, 23 Starlings, 1 Mockingbird, 6 Mourning
doves, 2 American crows, 1 Carolina wren, 1 Chickadee and 2 Song sparrows.
