Subject: Rusty Blackbirds, Dauphin and Lebanon Counties
Yesterday on my way home from work, six Rusty
Blackbirds flew in front of my car on Rte 743 just
north of Swatara Creek. This was in Dauphin County.

Then along Pine Rd in Lebanon County there were
about twenty Rusty Blackbirds in the trees and corn
stubble close to the road. This was along the west
edge of the farm.

This morning there were similar numbers of Rusties
at Pine Rd in the trees and corn stubble. But today
they were mixed in with a large Red-winged Blackbird
flock.

Pine Rd has been a good spot for late winter
Rusty Blackbirds in recent years.
