Subject: [MDBirding] Environmental Film Festival Featuring Birds
On March 18, the National Wildlife Visitor Center on the South Tract of
Patuxent Research Refuge is hosting an Environmental Film Festival.
It starts at 11:00 with a series of short films "Spotlight on Bird
Conservation" and will be followed by a panel discussion featuring
Bruce Peterjohn of the Bird Banding Lab, Grant Sizemore of American
Bird Conservancy, Walker Golden of Atlantic Flyway Initiative, and two
film makers, Aditi Desai and Jared Flesher. The films are:
Seabird's Journey (2 min)Mapping Migration (4 min)Birds of May (28
min),Surviving the Wild: Cats and Birds (8 min)
Panel discussion 11:45-12:15.
1:00 p.m. Nature's Engineers: The Nest from PBS' Nature series
2:15 Re-run of the short subjects.
