Took the dogs for a walk later in the day at the park, starting by the 9th hole pond. Didn’t find the Canvasback that was roosting at 2:15. Also only saw two Ring-necked Ducks while there had been 5 earlier.
Did have two hen Hooded Mergansers briefly. They left as a Northern Harrier coursed by.
Saw two Bronzed Cowbirds with several Great-tailed Grackles flying over. This time they didn’t dive into the reeds at the 9th hole pond edge, but continued in a SW direction.
One golf tee box had 8 Yellow-rumped Warblers and 4 Western Bluebirds catching insects. At least one of the warblers was a breeding plumage male.
