Subject: [NHBirds] Great Gray Owl NO - Newport
As of 6:30am there didn't appear to be any sign of the GREAT GRAY OWL at the Belknap Avenue field in Newport. As before mentioned, there is a lot of area around worth checking out. There are a lot of woodland-bordered fields along Route 10 to the north. Newport High School has a large field just north of its athletic fields. The Parlin airport is just north of that off Airport Road. Corbin Road also gives great views of the western end of the airfield. Route 10 from Newport to Grantham is littered with ideal habitat as well. Croydon Brook Road off of Corbin Road might be worth checking too but be careful as it's really muddy right now. Also, the Newport golf course off Unity Road to the south might be worth giving a look.

Good luck to anyone making the trip today, I hope someone has success.
