This past Monday I stopped in at the Crooked Creek Wetlands near Gettysburg and had a nice look at a Meadow Lark on the far side. While not really a rarity, it was still a nice bird to see. As a whole the wetlands were pretty dead. The only waterfowl to be found were Canada Geese. Also, the Red-winged Black Birds at the wetland were sing in full force. This warm weather has them thinking its spring.
