Subject: [cobirds] ABA Birding Ethics (or lack there of)
The American Woodcock continues at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area.

What doesn't continue is caution and respect to ensure the bird is not
stressed by overly enthusiastic birders trying to tick it off their lists.
Birders should refrain from tromping through the creek area in hopes of
stumbling upon the bird. Per the ABA code of ethics, exercise restraint and
caution during observation, photography etc. and stay on the trails. The
welfare of the birds is more important than your checklist.
