A BIG WELCOME BACK to Mike Reese !! Fresh in from California to make the
trek to Coon ! Great seeing you again Mike !!
Not nearly as much action as we were expecting but a great day
nonetheless.
Bald Eagles all day long and at one point we had 6 Balds in one field of
view
circling and vocalizing directly above the watch site. Two drop dead
gorgeous
Gray Ghosts passed by on the river side in beautiful light much to our
delight.
A Raven chasing a Red-shouldered hawk across the skies and down into the
river valley was a real show and the 'Shoulder looked panicked for sure !
And of course our Bird of the Day selection which goes to the 2:42 immature

Golden Eagle. We oicked this bird up well up ridge and low in the river
valley.
As it gained elevation it also was moving in tighter to the ridge and much
closer
to us. By the time it got to eye level it was CLOSE and in gorgeous light
with
golden hackle glowing !! What a bird !!!!

Non-raptor Observations:
Ravens
TV's- Many
BV's
Goldfinch
