*Dear Members,*
Unfortunately, there are times when people join the listserv for purposes
other than its intended use. (including one this morning) We take
precautions to minimize this, including:

Requiring approval before anyone can join the listserv.

Approving requests that mention birding and/or living in the area.

Moderating emails from new members who provide no details in their
request, until we are confident in their intentions.
Incidents of misuse are rare, but even a few can take away from everyone’s
enjoyment. We strive to keep our community as open and inclusive as
possible, while balancing the need to prevent disruptions.
We kindly ask that members avoid replying to the entire listserv when
responding to these situations, as doing so only fills inboxes further. I
do my best to monitor the listserv, but please note that work and other
priorities sometimes prevent me from checking as frequently—especially
during slower birding periods.
We are grateful to have you as part of the club, and we appreciate your
passion for our local ecosystem and all that our area has to offer.
